Representatives of several Azerbaijani Universities visited Tbilisi State University.

Universities / Organizations participated in meeting and their representatives:

  • Tbilisi State University – Dr. Tea Gergedava,
  • Azerbaijan University of Foregn Languages – Dr. Jala Garibova,
  • Lankaran State University – Ulkar Bayramova,
  • Qafqaz University – Dr. Abzetdin Adamov,
  • CEENet Secretary General – Dr. Jacek Gajewski

This meeting is a joint initiative of the Universities to support of international academic co-operation. These Universities are the leaders or show strong willingness in the area of implementation  Information-Communication Technologies in education management and administation. The mission of meeting is to advance international engagement in the fields of education, science, culture and research.

Universities agreed to start:

  • Joint Tempus projects
  • Possible project title: Development of IT Infrastructure to support and facilitate  Bologna Declaration (ECTS) implementation by regional Higher Education Institutions
  • Joint scientific events – conferences

Representative of Qafqaz University Dr. Abzetdin Adamov presented to listeners comming project on “Qafqaz University Instructional Network Infrastructure Enhancement Project” which includes following steps:

  1. Replacing old HP network switches

    2. The objectives/scope of this arrangement
    3. Impact on Institutional Operations without the Infrastructure Project
    4. Resource Efficiency and Sustainability
  2. Establishment wireless LAN

  3. Taking comprehensive security measures
